part 227:

“Bismillahir rahmaanir raheem”
-in the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful-

They tried to save the youngster and help him to recite the kalimah…

They didn’t force him to recite…but instead continued reciting for him with the hope that he will repeat on his own and leave this world with the kalimah on his lips…

I was mistaken when I thought that they were not muslims earlier..

I guess because of the way they had been behaving, I couldn’t recognise them as muslims…

It was ramadaan, yet the music was blasting…I honestly didn’t think that any muslim would actually have the heart to blare music like that in this holy month…

They weren’t dressed islamicly in any way..infact, both the boys had earrings and some crazy hairstyle where the one side was completely shaved off while the other side was spiked up like a porcupine..

Dada related later that he was very disheartened as the more they recited the kalimah, the more the youngster swore at them until finally, to block them out, he began singing ‘kabhi khushi kabhi gham’…

Some indian song apparently….

But if I look at those words…yaa Allah…
“Sometimes happiness, sometimes grief”

This was definitely not a time of happiness but rather MAJOR grief that he had to repeat it to himself on his death bed..

This made me reflect on my Creator….instead of being able to recite the kalimah, these words played on his tongue at his last moments…?

Laa hawlaa wa laa quwwataa..

Most definitely the words of our beloved nabi(S.A.W) comes to mind yet another time..
“The way we live, is the way we will leave this world, and the way we leave this world, is the way we will be resurrected on the day of qiyaamah”

Who am I to judge? Even though I have been a witness to such an incident…it serves as a lesson for me…

Allah made it such that we were at the very place when the whole thing took place for a reason..there’s truly wisdom behind it..

Allah wants me to realise that our true value will only be known on the day that we leave this world..

What is it that we love in this world?

What is it that we are running after in this world?

Are we running after fame?

Materialistic gain?

Are we running after this dunyaa?

After temporary enjoyment?

Are we running after things that are going to perish the day we all perish?

Why?how blind can we possibly be?

We have made useless movie stars and football players and singers our role models..

We have taken to dress like them, live like them, and act like them…

What is going to happen on the day when WE are lowered into OUR graves?

Which of those very famous people are going to come with us to answer to Allah on our behalf?

Death is indefinitely going to be brought upon each one of us…

Nabi sulaiman(A.S) was a king….he had all the riches…Allah bestowed on him all that we cannot even perceive..

He was given the power to control the winds..and could understand and talk to animals and birds…

His commands were carried out within the blink of an eye…

Yet for him, Allah said:
“Every soul shall taste death”
And he departed from this world…

Nabi moosa(A.S) was given such great favours…that he would simply throw down his stick and it would turn into such a large serpant…

He was granted the miracle where the seas split just for him to pass through…

Yet for him aswel, Allah said:
‘Every soul shall taste death”
And he too departed from this world…

Nabi mohammed(S.A.W)….the king of all kings….the seal of prophethood…such a being who’s name is on every leave in jannah, his name runs through every river in jannah..his name lay inscribed on the arsh of Allah ta’aalah….

Yet even for him, Allahs word:
“Every soul shall taste death”
And he too had to depart from this temporary world…

Every one of us are to depart from this world at some point…the important thing is in what condition we will depart from this world…

It is not for me to is not for you to decide..

But what I need to do is contemplate…think deeply regarding my life…

Am I worthy of being taken away from this world in a good way?with imaan?when Allah is most pleased with me?

How dare I live my entire day and night in sin, yet I still believe that I will leave this world in a good condition?

Its about time I start changing my life…its about time I stop judging the next and worrying about who’s bad and who’s good and who’s not doing and who is…

Its about time I start worrying about my own actions..

Everytime we are faced with a situation or are doing something displeasing to Allah, we should ask ourselves, are we ready to die in this state?are we ready to meet Allah like this?
