boycott 4:

Bismillahir rahmaanir raheem..

Our next boycott will be to boycott vulgar talk, swearing or any behaviour that Allah will not be pleased with..

Many of us, most importantly myself, have a tendency of using certain words when we are angry, frustrated or upset about anything…

Many of us, even if we’re not angry, but rather as a habitual speech, use words which are rather rude and causes the displeasure of Allah..

This includes all kinds of swearing words, or hate speech…

Nabi(S.A.W) is reported to have said in a hadith to the effect that ‘a muslim is one from who’s hands and tongue other muslims are safe’

As mums, we often find ourselves frustrated at our kids behaviour and tend to use derogatory words as if its supposed to calm us down or take away the frustration we are feeling…

As wives, we find ourselves raising our voices at our husbands when we want to be heard or want to make our point clear…

As youth we find it ‘cool’ when amongst our friends to use words such as shut-up, stupid, idiot etc…

However whenever we say something or do something as a muslim, we need to reflect and ask ourselves, would I use those very same words or behave in the same way if there was an elderly person or an aalim in our presence…?

Well the Greatest… Allah is right infront of us at all times, should we not control ourselves and talk in the best manner?especially when no-one is watching us in the privacy of our homes…

It has also been mentioned to the effect that the best of you are those who are best in character..

Let us strive to be the best in character inshallah, firstly to please Allah and secondly to be role-models to our kids and those around us and thirdly because only if we change ourselves, will Allah change the conditions around us..

Note that I have chosen this specific sin/act first as I feel it is something that I seriously need to reflect on for myself…so please make dua that Allah gives me the ability to change this first and then everyone else who submits their names below..
